Prairie Farm Supper
What an amazing day at our Prairie Farm Supper. Our candidates, Senator Matt Klein, Matt Little & Mark Legvold (with a supporting appearence from Senator Nick Frentz!) are amazing! Our hosts Jerry and Audry Wicklund are amazing! The food was amazing! And, as our main fund raising event for the year, it was a huge success! Thank you to everyone who attended and made this day so special.
Top The Tater Days
A beautiful day for a parade! On the 29th of June, members of Dakota 20/58 DFL participated in the Farmington Top the Tater Days parade. Passing out necklaces to the crowd, we had fun and hope you did too!
Adopt A Highway
The Minnesota Adopt A Highway program just approved a stretch of highway 3, in southern Farmington, to Dakota 20/58 DFL. On 31-May, a group of volunteers wasted no time in cleaning that stretch of road, gathering 14 bags of garbage. The plan is to clean this route in the spring and fall. Thanks to everyone who turned out!
Hands Off!
Community, Comradery, Chants, Speeches, Signs, and Sunshine are just a few words to describe the Hands Off! Farmington Stands Up! event held on April 5th. Organized locally by Dakota 20/58 DFL, as part of the national Hands Off! rally, the event drew over 400 participants and, as a bonus, brought in food for the Farmington food shelf.
Unit Opportunities
On March 24th, Dakota County DFL 20/58 held an invitational meeting at the Farmington library. The gathering, organized by vice chair Tracy Donovan, showcased the unit’s volunteer and event opportunities. Many attendees were motivated to get involved based on the current political climate. Discussed were the April 5th Hands Off! rally, needs for folks on the communication committee, book reading opportunities, and the Fall Harvest Festival fund raiser.
